High Grade Calcium Oxide
High-purity calcium oxide is widely utilized in water treatment for oil and gas operations, acting as a pH modifier and flocculant. In construction, it is a key component in cement and mortar production, improving strength and durability. It also serves as a soil stabilizer for road construction and foundations, and in asphalt mixtures to enhance their performance.
High Grade Calcium Hydroxide
This mineral is frequently used in the oil and gas industry for its pH-buffering capabilities in drilling fluids, helping to neutralize acidic components. It also serves as a component in frac fluid preparations and in wastewater treatment processes within oil field operations, aiding in the removal of contaminants. For construction, calcium hydroxide — commonly known as hydrated lime — is used to improve the workability and plasticity of mortars and plasters, enhance the strength and durability of concrete, and stabilize soils for various construction projects.
API Bentonite and Pond Sealing Bentonite
This specialized bentonite is a cornerstone of oil and gas drilling, serving as a primary component in drilling muds. It provides viscosity, suspends drill cuttings, and forms a filter cake on the borehole wall to prevent fluid loss. Its exceptional sealing properties are also vital for lining retention ponds and preventing seepage in oil field environmental applications. In construction, bentonite is used as a sealant for foundations, tunnels, and landfills due to its low permeability. It is also incorporated into specialized concretes and grouts to reduce water penetration and improve stability.
Barium Sulfate (Barite 4.0)
Barite 4.0 is the most essential weighting agent in drilling fluids, particularly in high-pressure, high-temperature (HPHT) wells. Its high specific gravity helps control formation pressures, preventing blowouts and ensuring wellbore stability. Beyond drilling, it is also used in various specialized industrial applications. For construction, fine-ground barite is used as an aggregate in high-density concrete, particularly for radiation shielding in medical and nuclear facilities. It can also be found in specific paints and coatings for its density and sound-dampening properties.
Calcium Carbonate (CaCO3)
Ground Calcium Carbonate produced from high-quality marble for industrial and commercial applications. Available in PrimiCarb 200 and PrimiCarb 325 grades to meet different application and particle-size requirements. Detailed technical specifications available upon request.
